Ban. Voted against a bill prohibiting governmental restrictions on abortion access. Sponsored a bill to ban abortion at 20 weeks. Voted to prohibit use of federal funds for abortion. Supports “the defunding of Planned Parenthood.”

Legal. Will fight for…a woman’s right to choose.” Supports restoring federal abortion protections that were in place under Roe v. Wade. “Women should make their own health care decisions with recommendations from their doctors.”

Voted against developing police techniques for de-escalation and safely dealing with people who have mental health issues. Voted no on ending sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine. Voted no on requiring body cameras, limiting qualified immunity, and bans on racial profiling and no-knock warrants.  In 2020 said “the men and women ‘in Blue’” should “have the necessary support…to…serve our communities.”
